1) St. Patrick's Day
2) Grandma Finn's birthday...on St. Patrick's Day
3) Spring arrives (on the calendar at least)
4) Aidan turns ONE!!!
While we don't have much on the calendar yet, I'm sure it will shape up to be a busy month. Just chasing after Aidan these days keeps me busy enough without things to do outside the house. His energy seems to keep compounding and growing. I read that toddlers get more exercise daily than Olympic athletes. I completely believe it.
Aidan's favorite things right now:
- Climbing on the fireplace hearth and trying to crawl/walk along it until someone comes to get him. He thinks it's a riot, I forsee many bumps and bruises.
-He's also figured out how to position the dining room chairs just right so he can pull himself up on them and lay on the seat. It's an interesting process to watch, he just keeps trying until he gets himself up there.
-The broom. It's a ratty old broom, but it might just be Aidan's favorite toy. He actively seeks it out several times a day to play with. If only he could actually use it to clean the house...
-His toy box. It's full of toys that rarely get played with, but he likes it when I open the top and he can look inside.
-The book "bag". Nana got me a large canvas tote at Christmas that was intended for grocery shopping. Instead, it turned into our living room book/toy bag. Aidan pulls out every single thing in it and scatters the items around the room. It melts my heart when he pulls out a book and flips through the pages, looking at the pictures.

Aidan and the broom
Based on the look in his eyes, this may not be the last time Aidan and I chat through metal bars.
